"Richter Scale"

A numerical scale that is used find out the magnitude of an earthquake through seismograph oscillations (ups and downs in a graph).


It is very important to note that this scale is logarithmic so it scales at different rates! Each increase in one magnitude is actually an increase of power by 32 times an increase of shaking by 10 times!
